Dennis Nedry has stolen the dinosaur embryos from JURASSIC PARK's Visitor Center and is now racing to the East Dock in time before the ship leaves. However, the slick road sends his Jeep sliding to the edge of an embankment, stuck in the mud. During an effort to free his vehicle in time, Nedry gets spooked by a Dilophosaurus... a dinosaur who has earned the nickname of "Spitter". This "Original Ending" version is perhaps the first fully-realized depiction of this classic scene. The ending differs to what is seen in the film: Nedry is dragged out of the Jeep before he can fully get back inside when the Spitter attacks, clawing his nails into the seat cushion. It's a simpler, but chilling, ending.
Featuring production artwork by David Lowery. Curated & Edited by Derrick Davis. Music by Hainbach. Credits Music by Bernard A. Kyer & John Williams. Estimated sequence creation: 1990-1992. Also known as "Nedry Spat".
JURASSIC STORYBOARDS are exclusive videos created to showcase storyboard sequences from JURASSIC PARK. Featuring early versions of famous scenes and omitted moments that never made it to the screen. Most of the storyboards are presented unedited from their original pages in various production quality, with music and ambient sound effects to set the general mood. There are several versions of the same sequences, conveying subtle to extreme differences to how they played out over time. This series is meant to educate and entertain how JURASSIC PARK's talented production artists shaped the film before anything was ever filmed.
