Jurassic National Monument: The Morrison Formation @BLMUtah

Since paleontologists started working the site in the late 1920s, thousands of bones have been discovered and excavated from the Cleveland-Lloyd Quarry. The site is located in the Morrison Formation, and the fossils found here are from the late Jurassic Period- about 148 to 146 million years ago.
