A little tribute video to the Jurassic Park franchise as well as the continual advancements related to prehistory ranging from genetic reverse engineering and AI driven gene resequencing. With technology continuing to propel forward, it is only inevitable to recognize that a Jurassic Future is very much on our horizon.

I'll admit that I have many, many misgivings with Jurassic World Evolution 1 and especially 2. But I have to concede that it is an absolutely GORGEOUS game.

After listening to a lot of ambient-related work over the past year, I finally felt compelled to explore Evolution 2's capture mode and just record some interesting shots. The result is the video, which has tons of mistakes admittedly, but I think at least a few little scenes are enjoyable and were well worth the patience.

All of this is done by hand (with the exception of one scene) with an Xbox One Controller, a few mods and patience. I had one major safari for several species to explore on their own in Isla Nublar, and the rest of the shots primarily comes from setting up specific scenarios and then running through them over and over until the dinosaurs mostly behaved in a fashion that worked well with the camera panning I was going for.

THIS IS ALL IN GAME, IN ENGINE. None of this was done in a modelling program or animated. With the exception of the use of basic fade in-out transitions, there are no added effects to this video.

Finally, the video's native resolution is 1080p, 60 fps with a massive data rate. It has been upscaled in post to 1440p to bypass youtube's awful 1080p compression algorithm, which would have reduced the data rate and quality tremendously. I preemptively apologize to all of the people that might watch this thinking it is native 1440p. It is not.
