This week Film Jams is comparing the classic Jupiter-9 85mm lens to the IronGlass Soviet rehoused 85mm version. If you're looking for a unique cinema lens this Jupiter-9 Lens review has flare and sharpness tests. The Jupiter-9 lens footage compared to the IronGlass footage was much more dreamlike. When we threw on the Schneider Anamorphic Adapter, that's when the Jupiter lens really came to life. There's a reason why Dune 2 used the IronGlass lenses. They have a very special filmmaking quality to them.
