Slug Girl is one of Junji Ito’s most iconic manga shorts, even though it’s never officially been released in the west. In this video, we’re exploring why, beyond the grotesque and appalling imagery of Yuuko with the slug crawling out of her mouth, it managed to resonate with so many readers.
