In this video, we encounter and identify the venomous eyelash viper (Bothriechis schlegelii), the formidable fer-de-lance (Bothrops asper), and other fascinating species including blunt-headed tree snakes, bird snakes, and racers.
This adventure takes us through the lush rainforest in search of these elusive reptiles. We discuss their habitats, behaviors, and venom, including a recent scientific name change for the eyelash viper to B. nigroadspersus.
