This is an arrangement of Kazuki Muraoka's Jungle stage theme from Konami's Contra. It has been arranged for native playback on NES hardware and is playable from a flash cart.
I based the arrangement on Jake Kaufman's remix of the song from Contra 4 on the DS (youtu.be/qFIOvNl7G24) that was used as the alternate theme for the first stage when playing on the hard difficulty. The arrangement uses the VRC6 mapper, and the drums and orchestra hits are all 7-bit PCM samples being mixed down for playback at 12Khz.

The game remains mostly the same on the second and third runs, but several of the cutscenes and the boss fights change to reflect the elder god Pious Augustus chooses at the beginning. The final cutscene only plays at the end of the third round.

A playthrough of NECs 1999 horror adventure game for the PC Engine CD, Dead of the Brain.

Dead of the Brain, originally released by Fairytale in 1992 for the PC-98 (https://youtu.be/C71pQMbLpv8), x68000, and MSX2, was a horror-themed Snatcher-style visual novel. It was followed up by a direct sequel, also for Japanese PCs, in 1993.
Both games were later adapted for the PC Engine and released on a single-disc compilation. Dead of the Brain I & II, released in mid-1999 by NEC Home, was the final official release for the console.
I already spoke about the first game at length in my write-up of the PC98 version (linked above), so please check that out if youd like to know more about the games story and mechanics.
A few minor instances of censorship aside (the nudity has been toned down), the PC Engine version is a faithful conversion of what Fairytale had released seven years prior. In terms of presentation, the game falls somewhere between the 8 and 16-bit computer versions. It runs at a lower resolution than the PC98 and x68000 versions did, but the graphics are more colorful and detailed than the MSX2s, the loading times are speedy, and the PC Engine version is the only one to feature voice acting in key scenes. Considering that the PCE platform was already five years old when Dead of the Brain first appeared on computers, this is a pretty good showing for the NEC console.
