This Bedford cord fabric is tightly woven with a fine, distinct vertical cord that provides thickness, body, and durability. Bedford cord is similar to ultrafine-wale corduroy, with a harder, uncut surface. This variation of that classic fabric became known as Jungle Cloth for its widespread use in warm-weather military operations where toughness was paramount.
