This was their original, unfinished idea that would later lead to such popular games as System Shock 2, Deus Ex and Bioshock.

Citadel of the Black Sun is a cancelled RPG that was in development in 1988 / 1989 for DOS PC by Golden Goblins, a team under Rainbow Arts, a less known developer and publisher founded in 1984 in Gütersloh, Germany.
