Using a FTDI is a 100% reliable way to flash this radio.
My jumper T-pro had a failed flash the first time i went to update the ELRS module. This was completely my fault. PC crash during the update. After that the LUA would no longer read the internal ELRS module. Turns out that this radio was designed with no way to flash the internal module any way except for over WIFI.
There is a way to recover from a bad/wrong flash but it will require taking the radio apart. Connecting a FTDI adapter and even editing some of the ExpressLRS code to get it done.
