A very nice surprise, as I had only done one run before this after giving up on playing The Nest in Babe of Ascension (trying to do a stupid challenge). I'm not sure about any goals for the future, but if I somehow eventually got a time in the 10 minute range, that would be pretty cool.

Many new strats this time around, making this much less of an absolute nightmare than it could have been. This map can be pushed much further, but its a lot harder than it looks, the pain is omnipresent. 6:2X is easily possible with some true dedication.
While this was painful, Im still happy to run this again in the future, but for now, this is great. There are still new strategies to whip out if needed, but a lot can be done by simply playing better. I dont really expect this to last for a long time as there has been some strong activity for this map recently, also talk of newcomers swooping in to take the record, so well see what happens.

This run was from a week ago, but I was very dissatisfied with the ending, so I kept on grinding for a better run. Unfortunately, I havent been able to get a better run since and am currently demotivated at the moment to speedrun this map. Anyway, I looked back on this run and remembered how cracked it was, getting to Heavenly Ruin by 4:53. If you cant tell why Im demotivated, just watch the clips from 7:51 onwards.
That ending is just absolute sadness, such a waste of 10 seconds. I will come back to this eventually, but there is a lineup of maps on the way and so the plan is to beat and speedrun them.
Ive also been doing daily posts on the community tab. Ill probably run out of things to post so theyll probably end up being two/three times a week.

Editing is a bit lazy and rushed but I just really wanted to get this video out and simply showcase how cool and creative this map is so that I can get back to speedrunning. This is because I have many currently have a substantial list of goals that I want to achieve.
I got help with quite a few things, most notably in areas 4 (Ice Maze) and 6 (Jumping Puzzle). I needed assistance with the sand momentum and the two sets of jumps afterwards that require you to buffer your inputs and use the edge of the screen to jump smaller distances than normal at the same height. It should be very clear at which point I gave up on the maze in Ice Maze and just used a solution to get through it.
I surprisingly managed to do Jumping Puzzle with not as much help as I thought (but still a lot) and sometimes just a couple of hints instead of solutions (especially towards the end).
Very cool unique map, with my only complaints being the fall on the side of area 3 and some solutions being rather unintuitive (personally at least). Fair play to anyone who can do this with absolutely no help, because some of this stuff is kinda ridiculous.

Now officially a world record, as I have beaten Meeas time by 1 second. As you can see, there are plenty of mistakes, meaning I can still improve the time by a lot. The falls alone accounted for approximately 62 seconds, but I did some gigastrats to make up some time so with normal strats after the falls it wouldve been probably closer to 70 seconds of time loss. That means sub 7 is possible, but its gonna be tough.
I dont think the next video will be of Babe of the Heavens unless I get dethroned and want to PB again.
