Sub 11:30 wasn't good enough, so I set out for sub 11. If I somehow managed to eventually get sub 10, that would be fantastic. However, I wouldn't mind stopping at a low 10 minute time, especially if I managed to get 0 falls alongside it.
I did a small grind probably nearly 6 months back for a better PB and had many tower fails, but couldn't be bothered to include them. The falls in Purple Ruin and Digital Frontier bothered me the most, even more than the ones out of the tower, as you have to expect going into this that many runs will fail near the end, whether that be due to the difficulty of the ending or simply nerves.
We don't talk about 11:16.
Also, now that Babe of Dimension is done, I'm really excited to see what I can pull off in Immortal Babe.

And there we go, WR by over a minute on Jump Kings current hardest (polished) custom map. All the pain and suffering was completely worth it for not just a lousy 5 second record but one that actually shows some of the effort I put into this map over December/January. However, its not perfect, just in case I wanna go for another round of insanity and get a sub 13 or something (painge).
This map really feels like it has 1000 different chokepoints with every area having its own annoying and frustrating jumps that got me borderline ready to throw hands at my monitor after playing for 5 hours straight. I initially got comfortable with Ghost Tower but soon realised it was kinda a struggle in my grind. In runs, once I get past this one hell of a jump (9:33), it is game on and I just gotta fluke Yggdrasil and The Olymp and get the dub, which I finally have done.
I would complain about my playstyle causing this grind to take longer than it needed (resetting all the time on bad but not dead runs), but I dont think I couldve got such a banger time if I had continued on any of those paces. Really I wouldve been happy with a low 14 minute time but I clutched up the run with my fastest pace into area 4 and possibly my fastest into area 5 (not sure), and now am very happy with myself.
Believe it or not my PB before this record was only an 18:33, not very smart to restart dead runs near the end (i probably needed the practice) but luckily I didnt choke the final two areas very much.
Now I can move onto other things and prepare for Jump King Madness 6 and perhaps do a speedrun of Babe of Exile.
