July was a month of literary highs, a reading slump, and some absolutely wonderful discoveries. In this July reading wrap up, I'm sharing all the books I picked up, from cozy beach reads and gripping mysteries to the lush, emotional world of a Rosamunde Pilcher short story. I reread The Thorn Birds by Colleen McCullough (yes, it lives up to my memories) and fell deeper in love with mid-century British women authors, including Rumer Godden's beautifully quiet storytelling. I also tackled a stack of historical fiction, buddy read a few favorites, and worked my way through a mid-summer reading slump with some lighter beach reads. If you love classic women's fiction, 1940s and 1950s British authors, family sagas, and bookish vlogs with honest reading thoughts, this one's for you.
