This was the FINAL, FINAL spring/plains chase for me in 2025. I had gone back out in early July when the monsoon is usually active (but wasn't) and spent a week roaming around Colorado and Nebraska. I had to get home but on my way, I was side-tracked by a storm exploding southeast of Raton and Wagon Mound, and ended up getting a stunning sunset thunderstorm explosion and I'll never forget it.
