Tommy here. The Other Side was a one-off single that we released last year, but since it’s a song about weathering difficult times in separation, it feels particularly appropriate now. My sister is a doctor taking care of COVID-19 patients, so she had to be separated from her kids — I left my home in Brooklyn to help take care of them for a few months. It’s strange to be in that kind of limbo indefinitely, not knowing when you’re going to see your friends and loved ones again — and even stranger that we’re all in the same boat across the globe.

I wrote the song for myself when I was going through a tough time, but it seems apt for the moment. “As the mountains begin to rise, a hundred years or more go slipping by — so as the avalanche begins to slide, I’ll see you on the other side”

When this is all over, we can’t wait to see you on the other side of this on tour again. I can’t imagine how good it’ll feel to be onstage in front of you all again. And: Ben, Jesse - I cant wait to finish our new (and best!) record on the other side of all of this.
