Juggernaut® X PDC cutters is the next generation of cutters which feature significant improvements in diamond feed and binder chemistry. They effectively reduce broken tooth, chipping, and spalling dull conditions while enhancing thermal stability and abrasion resistance.
The development of Juggernaut X cutters began in the lab, where dull conditions were meticulously analyzed using Oculus™ automated dull grading. This rigorous process led to new formulations that outperformed current cutters in the lab. Ultimately, this new generation of cutters made it to field testing where they experienced some of the most challenging drilling environments worldwide. Juggernaut X cutters have consistently outperformed previous generations and have enabled operators to achieve greater footage at higher rates of penetration (ROP) with a single drill bit. Additionally, these cutters come standard with ultra-thick diamond tables, in many cases they exceed 4mm, which allow for custom shaping that further boosts drilling efficiency.
Field testing has shown a 20% improvement in dull conditions and has demonstrated the superior durability and performance of Juggernaut X cutters. The cutters are available in multiple formulations and customized to perform in a variety of applications, including interbedded, hard rock, and abrasive formations, as well as geothermal and other low carbon solution applications.
