It's wonderful to see individuals championing change across the transport sector, and this year we celebrated Fraser Crichton from Dundee City Council as the Unsung Fleet Hero.
The Unsung Hero Award celebrates individuals who have demonstrated their commitment to sustainable fleet practices by proactively driving significant organisational and behavioural changes, or have championed change across the fleet sector.
Fraser has been instrumental in Dundee’s vision for electric cars. Thanks to his efforts, charging infrastructure across the city is growing rapidly, the local authority has adopted a large number of electric vehicles (EVs), and major policy changes have been made to taxi licensing.
He shares his enthusiasm for EVs through events for residents and commuters, and works collaboratively with private and public partners across the city. Energy Saving Trust’s Edwin Vaca tells us more about what made Fraser stand out amongst the other individuals nominated.
