Judge William Sullivan denied the defense's request for a mistrial in the Lindsay Clancy case Monday after testimony veered into discussion of religion.

Jurors were instructed to disregard the remarks after the judge called them "immaterial" and "irrelevant," and were excused for the day.

Clancy, 36, is charged with first-degree murder in the deaths of 5-year-old Cora, 3-year-old Dawson and 8-month-old Callan at the family's Duxbury home on Jan. 24, 2023. She has pleaded not guilty.
