Listening to the score, yet again, while editing this. One of my very favorites is the song titled ‘Where we’re going’ which plays in the VERY last moments before the credits. Specifically the last 10-20 seconds… CHILLS. It’s the grand finale, with everything coming to a close, and played over Murphy speaking about how Brand is somewhere out there in another galaxy. Oh and Cornfield Chase. Oh and No Time for Caution of course. Oh, and all the other songs. How do I watch this for the first time again?????!!!! 😩😩😩😩😩 I had the privilege of seeing Hans Zimmer in concert when he did his US tour. Insert that Spongebob transcending meme to represent me when he started Interstellar.
One of my very favorite quotes is when Cooper says "We used to look up at the sky and wonder at our place in the stars. Now we just look down and worry about our place in the dirt."
still feel like talking. I've been wanting to get this out for months (specifically on the day that marked it's 7th year since release) but alas, such is life. So I am just extremely excited to push publish on this and chat with people about this.
Question:
K, for plan B- if Dr. Brand (the old one) believed plan A would never work, was his expectation that their small crew would then raise that entire future population?? This is something that really puzzles me. Like at the end- Dr. Brand (young one) has begun plan B, but once the embryos become full grown babies and need to be cared for.... that seems like an awful lot of work? And what about supplies/food for them all (unless they found a great planet with soil for food)??? If we are talking even starting with 20 babies, Brand is supposed to raise them all? And I imagine it may be much more than that...

🟣 Notes: - Big shoutout to my sister Chloe for all shots taken while I was driving, and for buying me ice cream. - The spots on my lens are a tragedy. - They also draw in sooooo many bees (all those flowers). They are *all* over the ground (you might see them at the minute and 34 second mark), so definitely look out for that. - I've tried so hard to get this out asap so that in the chance someone in the area wants to drive down a street for themselves, that there will still be time to see them. As of 6/12/21 they still seem to be in full bloom in many areas! It's about to get extremely hot though and I suspect they won't be blooming much longer at all so FYI.

** It has come to my attention that I definitely sound like I'm crying during the bit at 18:33 😂 Which by the way wouldn't be a problem at all and I'm sure people have at that scene. But in this case, it was just that it was nighttime and my voice cracks more when I get dramatic (see Two Towers intro reaction) and I am amused that it came off as such 😂 Did these books make you emotional? Tell me what scene!
the 'copyrighted' that was still there on the close up of Saruman- AHAHAHAHAHAHA. I had to add the copyright watermarks last minute, so that's why in some spots it still lingers lol my bad!
~~~Further thoughts because apparently more than an hour wasn't enough~~~~~
- I didn't give Legolas' hair any praise in this video and that is a tragedy. Ugh, may my beard grow ever thin. His hair is wonderful. - I am so irritated I forgot to mention this in the video because I really wanted to discuss it. For casting- The hobbits, particularly Sam, actually had a different look than I pictured. I distinctly remember Sam being described as having 'brown hands' several times. And not in a 'his hands were dirty' way, but that he literally had brown skin (like once when he had his hand I think on Frodo's forehead and there was the contrast of his brown hand and Frodo's fair skin). I was picturing a tan hobbit for sure (and even like 2 pages into The Hobbit it describes the Hobbit folk as having brown fingers) since he gardens. For others that read the books- did you picture them like in the movie or no? - I'm not really understanding why there isn't a Lord of the Rings theme park/land somewhereDefacing Black SuniLivieSimone2021-02-09 | ~ Question of the day: What is an accomplishment (big or small) you are proud of? - My answer: Test anxiety can cause me to severely procrastinate, but I finally started studying for a huge one I have coming up. Simply starting is sometimes half the work, so for that I'm proud.
For the back side of this, my vision didn't exactly meet reality 😂 So if you weren't able to tell, it is supposed to be a boat at sea, under a starry sky.
⬛️ Notes ▪️ Except for Marie Kondo’s book, all books I read were published in the US, so unfortunately this discussion is limited by the fact that my books were mainly published in the US- I can’t speak to titles published elsewhere. This is important to me to note because what these books promote are often based in American ideals and values. ▪️ I sought out topics that interested me like productivity, or the ones that were part-memoirs, or on human behavior. I didn’t pick up anything about finance or happiness. I imagine that if one book truly had the answer to happiness or getting rich, there wouldn’t be thousands of books each claiming that- there'd probably only be one that everyone would buy lol
Hi! May was a trying time (but also exciting- class of 2020 yipeee), but I am happy I still found some joy in the books I read. Also I forgot to mention that I was first recommended Chemistry by my friend Joce (squibblesreads) at Booknetfest a while back- she is wonderful and I hope she is having the nicest day.
I didn't have the energy to discuss it in the video, and maybe no one will read this, but since I am waiting for this video to upload....... I am BAFFLED (but also not really) at how many people are only just now deciding to read books by black authors. I should be happy to see all these people picking up books by black authors, but but all I can see is that every. single. previous. call. for. people. to. read. more. diversely. went. completely. ignored. It took THIS to say alright maybe I shouldn't ignore these calls????? The sudden interest only highlights that LACK of interest that has always been there and it is so sad. And because we all know how the algorithm works, I am sure plenty of white creators will start reviewing recent black reads- and now those reviews are going to get the attention and overshadow the black creators who ALREADY have been talking about those books for years. So please keep uplifting the voices of those who are overshadowed, and keep searching beyond the default. Despite all the frustrations, it is a great thing to see so many people branching out.
On that note, the video has finished uploading.
If you have read Children of Blood and Bone, feel free to let me know your thoughts on that too! Whether you loved it or didn't :)
As with just about any other review, I never get to talk about all the things I want too otherwise these videos would be waaay too long. So feel free to chat about anything XD
How is everyone? It constantly nags at me that I am not as consistent as I want to be, but that is life. I got back from Booknetfest the weekend before last and had a great time- though I just don't do well with vlogging events so I don't have much footage. Anywho, I hope you all have a great day/week.
~ Sorry if the lighting made it difficult for you to watch- the lighting in my room is never ideal, and it's even harder when I use something glittery or reflective. But nonetheless, hope you enjoyed! ~ I am new to using the Resin product (the liquid coat) so I probably can't answer all your questions. The brand is ArtResin and they have *so* many videos on youtube about how to use their product. ~ ^ That stuff is MESSY. MY GOODNESS. ~ Those things at the 1:25ish mark were supposed to be polaroids but they ended up looking like little tv's- I.... don't mind actually. ~ Godzilla v King Kong is coming out March 2020 and I am already hyped. ~ It Ch. 2 is even sooner! I am ready to see our favorite clown again.... ~ I think the video has uploaded now and I can stop adding nonsense. ~ Have a great day.
~ Taylor holds all credit for thumbnail choice. However, she also yells at me for liking steak well done so I feel conflicted....
*****Don't be lame- give artists credit! I love if anyone is inspired by my work and does their own, but you must credit me if you do so with any of my art pieces. Whether inspiration, or a direct copy, it is still my art.****Reading vlog // Reading RushiLivieSimone2019-07-31 | I tried. Did you participate? If so, was it a success or failure?
You can find my short review of The Subtle Art of Not Giving A F*** on my Goodreads which is linked below. Also, in case you were curious, the setting I was talking about where I felt kind of awkward reading it for was an orientation at a children's hospital 😂 not a very kid friendly book/title LOL
