Friday Night Funkin' (stylized as FRIDAY NIGHT FUNKIN' and often abbreviated to FNF) is an open-source donationware rhythm game first released in 2020 for a game jam. The game was developed by a team of four Newgrounds users, Cameron "ninjamuffin99" Taylor, David "PhantomArcade" Brown, Isaac "Kawai Sprite" Garcia, and evilsk8r. The game shares some gameplay features with Dance Dance Revolution and PaRappa the Rapper and borrows aesthetic influences from Flash games. The game has been credited with driving users back to Newgrounds, a site whose popularity peaked in the early 2000s.The game mainly revolves around the player character, Boyfriend, who must defeat a variety of characters in singing and rapping contests in order to continue dating his love interest, Girlfriend. Gameplay revolves around hitting notes with timed inputs while avoiding running out of health for the duration of the song.Friday Night Funkin' is a rhythm game in which the player controls a character called Boyfriend, who must defeat a series of opponents in order to continue dating his significant other, Girlfriend. The player must pass multiple levels, referred to as "weeks" in-game, containing three songs each. Each week, the player faces a different opponent, though some deviate in structure from this via the inclusion of multiple opponents. During gameplay, the opponent will sing a pattern of notes (represented as arrows) which the player must then mirror by using the arrow keys or the W, A, S, and D keys. Some songs introduce more complicated patterns, with the player's pattern sometimes varying from the opponent's or both singers engaging in a duet. For each week, the player has the option to select one of three difficulties: Easy, Normal, or Hard. As the difficulty increases, the speed of incoming arrows increases, and the patterns of arrows become more complex. The player's high score for each week on each difficulty is tracked and shown in the top corner of the week selection screen.[1][5] The game contains two different modes of play: a story campaign in which songs are played linearly and a "free play" mode which allows for free selection of any of the game's music tracks.

![Extreme Zap (RoSE Mix) - RESTORATION OF VS SONIC.EXE OST (Scrapped)
*THIS WILL NOT APPEAR IN THE MOD, AS I REQUESTED MY SONGS TO BE REMOVED AFTER LEAVING THE DEV TEAM!*
Unchained, I am free to play trashy Sega Genesis games or something. With my departure from Restoration of VS Sonic.exe now fully going fourth, Ill finally get you all off my back and post these dusty old songs hopefully daily until theyre all out. Also, no. I will not finish any of the wips. Dont ask. Dont ask for anything. I want to get some rest.
In the dev team, I became the resident Sonichu expert for some reason. So I had this and Shocker at one point, but Shocker never went anywhere, nothing was actually made. Also, I really shouldve just made a new Sonichu song and not tie it to... the original and all that. If I wasnt being comprehensive this would not be out right now.
FLP: OH GOD YOURE GOING TO ASK FOR THAT NOW ARENT YOU?? IDK MAN LEAVE ME ALONE IM TIRED!! I WANT TO GO TO BEEEEEDDDD!!

Vs. Sonic.EXE is a mod created by RightBurst_Ultra and directed by Saster and CommandoDev. The main opponent of the mod is the titular character from the Sonic.EXE series, but it also features many other horror-oriented characters from other official and fan-made Sonic media, including Sonic (PC PORT), Sonic CD, Sunky, Sonic R, Sonic Shorts, and Sonic the Comic.
“Restoration of Sonic.EXE or RoSE (formerly known as Sonic.EXE Restored) is a mod owned and directed by Merphi that attempts to retake and finish the originally cancelled Vs. Sonic.Exe, created by RightBurstUltra. However, the mod itself features a huge amount of new content and things that were never planned for the original mod so because the project is taking its own creative liberties, it is a lot less faithful to the original mod. This mod is not a perfect recreation of the Vs. Sonic.EXE mod, nor does it try to be, but rather a more inspired take that has its own ideas and identity. With the help of Sulonam (Co-Director) and the rest of the RoSE team, Merphi aims to make a mod paying tribute to the Sonic OCs, EXEs, Stories and other disturbing contents surrounding the Blue Blur for the Past 30 years. BLEH ATTACK! I tried not to change this one too much, so Im expecting plenty of people going on about how they cant hear anything different, despite Rowans section having several new instruments but I guess the reason I do is beacuse I just analyse music like that. But rest assured, there are a handful of tweaks to this one. Shoutouts to the Mario Kart Super Circuit soundfont I have.
