Join Nancy Trush for the next episode of Nancy’s Book Corner, as she reads "Joyfully Josie", written by Nicole Johnson and illustrated by David Concepcion. In this heartwarming story, we meet a joyful little girl named Josie who has FOXG1 syndrome, a rare disease that causes disabilities. Through her experiences, Josie teaches about inclusion and encourages children to feel comfortable asking questions to children who look different..

Nancy’s Book Corner, led by our very own Nancy Trush, an early childhood educator (and Daniel’s mom), is a read-aloud series of children’s books that introduce disabilities and celebrates differences. Designed with children in mind but with a universal message for all, Nancy brings viewers along on a fun, educational, and thought-provoking journey using books from a variety of authors to help everyone see the ability in disability.

It is broken out into three areas: A) DMF On-Demand is a resource for fun, interactive, recreational music, movement activities, and more. B) Virtual Live Events are a way to keep everyone connected through music, regardless of where they are or what’s happening in the world. C) Virtual lessons and small group classes provide an opportunity for more individuals to experience the joy of music, in the comfort of their own homes at an affordable price. danielsmusic.org/virtualcommunity
