For eighty years, we have been a congregation on the go carrying out our mission of “Bringing the Good News of Jesus to all people for the first time and for a lifetime.” This mission is both a privilege and a challenge. For we are not only remodeling and expanding our facilities
to meet our changing needs, but also setting a clear vision and ministry plan for the next three years.
So, what is the Join the Journey” campaign? It is a campaign to go meet Jesus, follow Jesus and show Jesus at work through our hands and feet in our local community and world.
Our church is continuously on a Journey to meet, follow and share Jesus our Shepard. Mt. Calvary has joined the Journey for 21st century mission to Meet Jesus, sharing the Gospel message with the lost and uncommitted-- as God commissioned in Matthew 28—seven days a week!
Picture as the Mt. Calvary community, Follows Jesus by being a hub of activity. More and more families with children discover Mt. Calvary’s vibrant ministry for children and their families. Picture a welcome center for visitors in our church, as well as valuable open,
green space for our church, and community to share. Imagine Mt. Calvary experiencing debt freedom, through periodic principal payments our Lord provides through His generous people.
Finally, envision an open heaven with shouting and great joy – His Church Renewed and triumphant, shining brightly in the midst of spiritual darkness, changing lives and fulfilling our destiny as His missionaries. As missionaries, we strengthen marriages and their
families, serve those in need right here in Phelps County, and boldly reach out bringing the Gospel to those we meet through the Christian Charity Fund and Caring Cupboard.
What will it take for us to Join the Journey to Meet, Follow and Share Jesus? In order to fully realize God’s inspired vision at Mt. Calvary we pray that our faithful and collective financial response, over the next two years, totals $3.9 million. This includes generosity of $2,100,000 to Share the Gospel, $1,050,000 invested to Care for others, and $750,000 as we Serve in His name. This generosity opportunity encompasses everything we are already accomplishing today— our
giving to the general fund and designated gifts, with the opportunity to accelerate our generosity as Christ followers—individually and as a community—Join the Journey to meet, follow and share Jesus.
