What we refer to as Passion Week began with an unusual parade in which Jesus, riding a donkey, descended the Mount of Olives into Jerusalem for the last time. Within days He would fulfill the purpose for which He came – His sacrificial death on the Cross. Many in that Palm Sunday crowd failed to grasp the significance of the moment. Many today still do.
