Journaling has carried me through some of the hardest things I've walked through. Not journaling as a hobby, but meeting the Lord on the page. In this video I'm sharing the practice that therapists keep marveling at, the science behind expressive writing, and the formula that quietly transformed my life: your quality of life equals the quality of the questions you ask yourself.
I walk through the rhythms I actually use:
-Lighter daily documentation in my planner that I call 'vignettes'
-Immanual journaling for the heavy stuff
-Ebenezer binder for memorials of God's faithfulness
I talk about the difference between dear-diary journaling and expressive writing, and how Genesis 1 changed the way I see putting a thought on paper.
We pull from Habakkuk, 1 Corinthians 2:16, and Revelation 2:17 (the hidden manna... "what is it?" is the question you need to ask).
I also give you a little challenge you can do today with any piece of paper.
If you've never sat with the Lord in your journal, this is your invitation. Come take a peek inside The Joy Revival for free. We teach Immanuel journaling, attunement with Jesus, and the renewing of your mind from the inside out.
