Hello and welcome into the Piles of Paragraphs Creative Space! I’m Lori, and today I’m sharing a simple, grungy DIY journal cover made from tea-dyed, rust-stained fabric, lining fabric, and an upcycled Amazon mailer envelope. This handmade journal cover is perfect for using up supplies, embracing frayed edges, and creating something truly one-of-a-kind.

I’m making this journal as a creative companion for an upcoming workshop, using PVA glue, fabric, and recycled packaging to keep things flexible, soft, and delightfully crinkly. If you love junk journals, slow stitching, mixed media, fabric journals, and upcycled paper crafts, I hope this project inspires you to try something similar with what you already have on hand.
