At too high a cost
I’m not a rich man
But I am a strong one

But what does it mean?
We all have moments when we have to fight, go through a battle, then remember that only the battle is over, not the war. We need to be ready to fight again. I have thyroid cancer and had a hefty surgery to sort it, followed by a challenging recovery. A year later it comes back so we have to operate again. I'd written this song after the first surgery, as if I was arming myself in case I needed it in the future.
- I did need it.
- I still need it, we're in round 3.
- I was so glad I wrote the song.
- Do the thing you're called to do, it might be for future you.
