Clinical psychologist and professor Jordan Peterson has recently become a lightning rod in the “culture war” between feminists, “social justice” advocates and so-called “neo-Marxists”, and anti-feminists, “classical liberals” and the right wing.
A combative interview with Channel 4’s Cathy Newman amplified Peterson’s exposure massively, and I have experienced an increase in my interactions with people who rabidly, vehemently defend the man’s every waking sentence, and see all criticisms of him as an affront to truth.
Not since Sam Harris have I seen a fanbase so singularly devoted to defending the honour of their idol.
Here I analyse Jordan Peterson’s presence on the culture war stage, looking at his background and work, interview appearances and beliefs, the validity of some of his claims, and come to some conclusions about his qualities and appeal.
Hopefully this video will bump me up to over $50,000 a month on Patreon.
