The Week I Review | Jordan Peele's Us Really Works Until It Doesn't At All | Movie Review @TheWeekIReview | Uploaded March 2019 | Updated October 2024, 8 hours ago.
Entry 31: The follow-up to Jordan Peele's incredible debut feature Get Out is fascinating. In many respects, it's superior to Get Out. In some ways, it's not. I don't get delve into the specifics too much here, because this is a genuinely spoiler-free review. The only information I relay here is what I gleaned from listening to (but not watching) the theatrical trailer.

The advertising for Us has done the film a disservice. This video is here to clear the air a bit, so if you are on the fence, I'd recommend checking it out.

If, on the other hand, you've already seen the movie and want to hear some in-depth thoughts on what it all means, you can check out my second video about Us, an analysis: youtu.be/DbHiXjl9qeU

I haven't done this kind of split thing before (or since), but I think it was appropriate here.
