im probably gonna regret this, but theres not a chance this video ever gets finished
i started this project soon after persona 3 reload was announced as some sort of tribute that i was planning to finish by the time the game were to release. the audio took around 4 days to finish, and i had a rough storyboard physically drawn out to how i wanted the visuals to go. in hindsight i definitely bit off more than i could chew, but theres no point in having regrets after the fact. i had the vocals started, though they were only about 1% complete, mostly due to the sheer quantity of vocals i would have had to cover. i thought about using UTAU but i felt it would feel too robotic for the feeling i was trying to encapsulate.
the motivation to create has often been a struggle of mine and has only worsened over the years, and it isnt due to a lack of passion; for lack of a better term id say its a lack of satisfaction. i find creating anything nowadays to feel mundane, as the parts of the process that used to feel rewarding have reached diminishing returns. you may have noticed this has reflected in my upload schedule, with not a single full video completed in nearly two years. and this isnt intentional, but perhaps a reflection of a stagnation in behavior.
much has changed since i was last active, and i dont want to make excuses for a relatively obscure hobby that, within the bigger picture, doesnt hold that much value. in time, ive realized its best to concede knowing your own limitations, and this was one of those cases. while planning this video i was hoping it would make for a good sendoff to the channel (at least for serious uploads), but i suppose with that out of the picture youll have to endure this bs for a while longer. and thanks to persona 3 for being an amazing game, i absolutely cant wait to play reload
