Jonathan Wants Peace Without Protecting Doug & Pete Secrets At Daystar
The situation around Daystar Television Network, Jonathan Lamb, and Dr. Doug Weiss & Josh Brown Commonly known as Pete, Rachel’s husband has remained highly controversial following the public family fallout and allegations connected to the network.
There are reports and public statements suggesting attempts at “reconciliation” between Jonathan Lamb and other members of the Lamb family after the scandal became public. Daystar itself previously stated it hoped for “peaceful reconciliation and relational restoration” with Jonathan.
However, there is currently rumours report confirming that “Doug & Pete were told to leave Daystar” specifically because of a reconciliation with Jonathan Lamb. The “Pete” controversy stems from allegations made by Jonathan and Suzy Lamb involving a family member identified publicly as “Pete.” Police later closed the investigation without charges being filed.
Following the scandal, several major Christian broadcasters and ministers distanced themselves from Daystar, while tensions inside the Lamb family continued publicly.
After the recent death of Joni Lamb in May 2026, Suzy Lamb publicly shared that she had hoped for a reconciliation before Joni’s passing, describing unresolved pain within the family.
Suzy in one of her recent posts on instagram said this
Since Joni's passing, I've allowed my heart to open up to revisit places down memory lane to the sweetest days. This was summer 2019 vacay and though life was never perfect, there were a lot of precious times like laughing at Marcus's dad jokes & waking up to the smell of Joni's yummy breakfasts.. these are the only memories Jonathan & I will dwell on. There is no room for hurt. Life changed after this vacation- in Nov 2020 I feel like my world shattered & things got worse till Nov 2021- Marcus died.. then for Jonathan & me we felt like we lost Joni soon after.
The last few years we just clung on to God- but now we're at peace knowing Marcus & Joni are with Jesus, much happier than they ever were on earth. One day we'll all be there too, reunited and laughing again. Till then, we'll keep living for Jesus- we'll preach the gospel, love people & cherish the good memories knowing that this is not the end. God is good all the time!
