Jonathan comes from the tight-knit village of Ngasini in the Kilimanjaro region, Tanzania. An active community member, Jonathan mobilizes everyone to work together for the greater good of the community. And as a farmer, he takes his role very serious as they rely on his annual harvest.

On average, Jonathan harvests 22-23 sacks of rice, but this past year he has seen a huge increase thanks to the Action Africa initiative. And after harvesting more than 30 sacks, there has been a tremendous increase in produce for the community.

Action Africa helped Jonathan to increase his yields, and from this success he hopes to earn an income that will help him achieve his goals of building a new home.
