(Before anyone bitches about the loading text, watch Code Monkeys. If you don't want to watch a full episode, watch the intro. You will hear Jerry's screaming every time you listen to this song.)
I'm weirdly embarrassed by charting this, honestly. It's one of his biggest songs and I'm sure there's like four other better charts of it out there. I still finished it and am uploading it for three reasons:
1. The "Monkey Wrench" (ayy) type power chord riffage is always fun to play and fun to chart
2. To test out how worthwhile adding HandMap and band_jump events to charts is (answer: band_jump always seems to happen on the first beat of the measure, and it'll wait if you try to do it on another beat, so annoying to time, and HandMap events work great, but they're so subtle, I guarantee you no one will notice it but me)
3. It's been burning a hole in my desktop half-finished for almost a month now, so might as well
Unfortunately, I was also not able to get a custom out in April like I've been unofficially trying to do so far this year. I did two in March, so I'm trying to justify it to myself that it works out, but in my heart of hearts, I know--I didn't do an April custom. (I also failed to chart First of May, which would've made a good May custom. I'm batting 0 here, kids.)
Anyway, to make up for it, I'll chart "You Ruined Everything" or "My Monkey" or one of the other JoCo songs I have stems for some other time. Also, I couldn't get my normal chart demo ISO going, so we're testing in 80s, yes. I actually cannibalized the Encore:360 disc because it's late at night and I just needed to get it in game SOMEHOW. That's on an 80s base now because GH2 proper just wasn't cutting it and gahhhhhhh.
Also! In lighter news, once GH2DX comes out, I will be helping the team out with authoring, porting, and punching up existing charts for their expansion disc. I'm making sure I'm personally the one to port "I'm the One" since everybody said that had to go on there.
(An improved and remixed version of) this chart is part of marfGH: Volume 0! You can grab it, along with twenty other really fun songs and a whole OPL library of other wonderful modded PS2 discs, at my website: mariteaux.somnolescent.net/modding/guitar-hero/discs
