The challenges in military training are many and complex. Training Joint Terminal Attack Controllers (JTACs) is particularly demanding. JTACs play a crucial role in directing air strikes and must therefore be highly skilled and knowledgeable.
Simulators provide valuable support in this context. By using NATO-certified training solutions, JTACs can train in a realistic environment without incurring high costs or facing resource constraints. Although the acquisition of simulators is expensive, the savings they provide far outweigh the costs.
HENSOLDT´s Joint Fire Support Team (JFST) training simulator is used to train mounted and dismounted forces in all relevant JFST procedures. Trainees practise making quick decisions and performing multiple tasks simultaneously in critical situations under high physical stress.
