The felted join technique, also called the spit splice works technique with yarns that are at least 70% wool. It will not work with acrylic or cotton yarn. Felting will dull the yarn. Best used on yarns that are already dull. This method is especially great for scarves and other garments with no "wrong side" to hide loose ends. You can also use water if you prefer not to use spit. ;)
