Chosen from an exceptional group of passionate and dedicated applicants, Esteban embodies the musicianship, drive, and spirit that Dom championed throughout his life.
Dom’s legacy lives on through this wonderful and valuable mentorship award given by SABIAN each year. It is an incredible challenge to choose a winner from among the passionate, dedicated and driven applicants who share their stories with us. This year’s judges, Jeff Bowders, Billy Cobham, Fred Dinkins, Sherrie Maricle, Christian Koch, and Mark Schulman, were honoured to continue that tradition of mentorship and support. It is a beautiful tribute to a man who gave so much to so many people. SABIAN continues to carry forward Dom’s mantra: Onward and Upward!
