LivArtNow | Join me making an envelope mini album base @livartnow | Uploaded April 2013 | Updated October 2024, 2 hours ago.
Just wanted to invite you to join me in making an envelope mini album base, using Laura Dennisons stack the deck binding method. I'm only making the album base and not the cover, watch Laura's tutorial if you need help making a cover (link below)
I'm sharing this to inspire you to be creative, have fun and do your own take on this, using envelopes and cardstock to make your own unique album skeleton, with lots of pockets and flaps. And please embrace your mistakes and let them lead you to inventing even more creative solutions and ideas for your album base!!
If you want to make this you'll need:
*different size envelopes
*good quality cardstock, like bazill
*scissors
*scor tape or other double sided tape 1/4 inch and wider
*scoreboard or a ruler and scoring tool
*black paint dabber and black marker or any other color paint, pen or distress inks you choose to edge your envelopes with
*magnets I recommend rare earth magnets, neodymium magnets 5-10 mm wide and 0,5 or max 1 mm thick
*tyvek to back and strengthen your hinges
*mod podge, claudene helmut's multimatte, or golden gel medium to adhere the tyvek to your hinges.
If you're a beginner and have never done a stack the deck album before I recommend you follow Laura's Stack the deck tutorial suitable for beginners:

I hope you find some inspiration to go ahead and create your own style envelope mini album using Laura's stack the deck binding :) thanks for taking the time to watch my video, I truly appreciate your kind comments!!
hugs and smiles,
Linda
