Johnny Got His Gun, is an anti-war novel written by American novelist Dalton Trumbo, and published in September of 1939. In this video I'll be reviewing the book, and talking about a concept called "The Truffaut Trap". A concept of new wave french director Francois Truffaut, who said in a 1973 interview. "I find that every film about war ends up being pro-war."

I'll be comparing Johnny Got His Gun, with another anti-war story, Gundam Mobile suite, and how one avoids the trap, while the other doesn't.
