I'm trying to recreate John Sykes legendary guitar tone on the 1987 Whitesnake album! John used 2 Mesa Boogie MkIII 180W Coliseum half stacks with EVM 12L and Celestion C90 speakers with his 1978 Gibson Les Paul Custom (Dirty Fingers bridge pickup). I'm using a Mesa Boogie MkIII 100W half stack with EVM12L and Celestion G12-65 speakers with my 2008 Gibson Les Paul R9 (1972 Super Distortion bridge pickup)
