John Perkins made a major contribution to our understanding our country’s manipulations in what he calls a “death economy,” with the only goal being to maximize short-term profits. I’m a major Perkins fan for his pivotal work to transform us to a “life economy,” and also for how engaging he is. When I saw this in dim light I thought there was a fireplace and that I’d found a launch for “Fireside Chats,” a project to flood the internet to unite us. From looking at it in a better light, do you think I could pass off a candle as a fireplace?
