When Mica Miller’s body was found in a river, many who knew her believed it was the work of her husband, JP Miller. Mica Miller was a 30‑year‑old worship leader and creative director at Solid Rock Church in Myrtle Beach, South Carolina, married to its pastor, John‑Paul “JP” Miller. On April 27, 2024, she was found dead from a gunshot wound at Lumber River State Park in Orrum, North Carolina. Her death was officially ruled a self-harm, but her family and friends have long alleged years of grooming, coercive control, stalking, and abuse by JP, claims now spotlighted in Netflix’s 2026 docuseries Death of the Pastor’s Wife.
