His first two series - The Faithful and The Fallen, and Of Blood and Bone - exist in the same world! Let's discuss all seven books.
This world has Norse mythology, with humans, giants, wyrms, and funny talking crows. It also combines some Christian mythology, with angels and demons and a war in the heavens.
These books are also Heroic Fantasy, a particular sub-genre of fantasy that focuses on heroes, their noble deeds, brave sacrifices, and acts of tremendous courage.
These books are also incredibly action-packed. These books are perfect if you like epic fantasy, lots of action, with heroism and tragedy. But if you like complex and deep fantasy, this may not quite hit the mark.
