This is the recording of a virtual memorial held on October 25th, 2025 to honor the life and legacy of John Gallagher—beloved father, husband, brother, son, herbalist, teacher, entrepreneur, and friend to so many.
Together we shared stories, memories, and reflections from different chapters of John’s life—from his early years, to his time with the Wilderness Awareness School, to the founding of LearningHerbs, and beyond. We also honored his roles as a visionary, a mentor, and a devoted father to Rowan and Hailey.
John touched the lives of tens of thousands of people through his creations like the Herbal Remedy Kit, HerbMentor, Wildcraft!, and Herb Fairies. But more than that, he brought heart, humor, and generosity to everything he did.
This celebration was a way to remember John in community, to laugh and cry together, and to carry forward the love and inspiration he gave so freely.
