Both a critical maintenance task, and a requirement for setting up a new tractor as received, the level and adjustment of the mower deck is critical to the efficient operation of the tractor and the health of the grass.
Ill point out that the diagram in the book is missing a measuring point in it though it is easily accounted for. The cutting of 2in blocks is highly recommended for this task. Note as explained that tyre pressure is absolutely critical to this process and must be set before starting.
The 130 Series is the only one not set to the 2in position, it is set to 2 1/4 position for this exercise.
All adjustments are made with a 15mm wrench or ratchet.
Remember the wheels are never set on delivery because it is based on the grass cut height; a personal preference.
