Today - April 15th 2020 - marks the 26th anniversary of the death of my skating hero; John Curry. The perfection and purity of his line has yet to be matched. Here he is still on his way up winning his first major international medal; the bronze at the 1974 Europeans in Zagreb. This is before he moved to Carlo Fassi and his sponsorship by Ed Mosler that came as a result of a poor performance at the worlds just a few weeks later in Munich.
As ever, he is musicality personified and this was one of his better jumping performances.
