This is the second part of Corigliano's Creations - "The Creation of Adam and Eve". Originally intended for a major television project on the Bible (which never came to fruition), the composer found an opportunity to program the work through a commission by Lukas Foss. Thus a revised version was prepared for its first performance in 1984.
In addition to the entrancing music, there is the added bonus of hearing Ian McKellen perform the narration.
