John Cena - on why he agreed to do the role:
"I liked the story and I thought it was very reality based.Nowadays a lot of the action movies certainly try to raise the bar on stunts they can do, or I don't know, I would say bend the laws of realism. We tried to put together a good story that everyone could follow, and that they could look at and say 'You know what, that's pretty possible'. I mean some of the scenarios are getting close but you can watch the movie and it's- I think that's why it's so suspenseful and I think that's why people are on the edge of their seat because they can see themselves almost making this stuff happen."
John Cena - on doing his own stunts
"All the action was me. There were some instances that I couldn't participate in things, but really, most of everything - I think there was one jump to the helicopter that I couldn't do, and a small bit of driving that they wouldn't let me do just because they were afraid that the car was going to blow up, but I pretty much got involved in everything."
John Cena - on similarities training for film and wrestling.
"The training was the same, but I mean instead of, you know, getting in there and body slamming somebody, I'm hanging off the side of a streetcar or climbing out of police cruiser to go inside a street car, I mean it was different action, you know, it is action, it's physically pushing yourself but it's not inside a wrestling ring."
John Cena - on having to work at height despite his phobia:
"It just got done. It was one of those things I was kind of asked politely to do it and told that I could turn it down but I really, we had a really good crew and I really made friends with a lot of people there so I said 'I'll suck it up and do it' and it got done, but I certainly, it was a couple of long days of work."
John Cena - on his fan base in wake of his various activities (wrestling, film and music) and looking to future film projects.
"I also look at the fan base now and see that it is primarily kids as well, so in searching for the next project I think something geared towards more the kids, especially being in the UK, seeing our audiences just really, really young kids, and I think that speaks volumes for our WWE programming. It's certainly I feel comfortable saying it's entertainment that anyone can watch. And I think in searching for the next film project it will be something to cater to that audience."
