A word from Socratess2007 ....
Well, you might have guessed it folks, it’s summer time here in the low countries (when looking outside one often doubts if it’s really so, because the weather … sometimes “isn’t what it should be”)
But, well, we should enjoy every minute of sunshine we get here (as our “summer” usually only lasts for 3 months (we will not comment on the other 9 months as it would be too depressing for people) and so….it’s holiday time and your humble servant obviously also needs “a bit of (real) sunshine” now and then.
Hence, our channel will be “off line” for a while, but rest assured, we will be coming back “bigger and better than ever” ;-) after the holidays.
Some things will continue as usual (“never change a winning team ;-)” but – as you will see in our “New Season Preview” here, there also will be some exciting new content coming.
To name just a few things to look forward to = A completely new and updated “Channel Trailer”, some rare original Bert Kaempfert recordings, some remarkable and interesting “Kaempfert music cover compilations” (always full versions), a new info topic titled “Facts Figures and Fun (related to music)” and, as you may expect from “Socratess2007”, many YouTube “premieres” AND some very rare (but beautiful) music from the “early days of stereo”.
This, and much more, is coming soon (which will be somewhere at the end of august).
Meanwhile, we hope you will (re-) enjoy all the videos and music posted so far and we wish all our subscribers and all occasional visitors of this channel “a sunny, relaxing and enjoyable holiday”.
I think that most of us will be in (urgent ? ) need of a bit of “quality time”, whatever that may mean FOR YOU …..
