C. Courtney Joyner takes us into the life of John Ashley, who was actually recommended by John Wayne to a casting director. With hair a little like Elvis, and a special swagger, Ashley was an instant hit. Later, he recorded some records and became a part of the AIP stable. When his acting career ended, Ashley transitioned successfully to become a producer in television.
