Knit Fair Isle in the round without a jog. A play on Meg Swansen's row below technique for stripes. If you want to skip all the "why" and go right to the "how", use the HOW TO DO IT - 8:57 time stamp
PLEASE watch the video carefully at 9 min. It is TWO simple steps (not two rounds, two steps). Yes, you repeat these 2 steps the whole time:
READ THIS PART. It's not a trick. It's just these two steps:
There is a SET up round - work one round of fair isle. (YOU MUST work your first round before you can do step 1. A set up round is worked once)
STEP 1) Transfer the last st of the round back to the LH needle, knit it again with the first color of the next round.
STEP 2) Work to the last st of the round, following the chart for that rond, work the last st of the round into the row below.
REPEAT step 1 & 2
That's it. That's what I demoed. Really. For whatever reason, we want to make it more complex, but it's just those two steps!

NOTE: if you are getting loose stitches, notice the little snug up I give to the working yarn after I knit the last st of the round a second time, and the start the next round. You can see me do it at 10:45 and 11:25.
NOTE: I say working into the row below is like Brioche or Fisherman's rib, which it is, but only the first time you do it . . . but of course this isn't a Brioche video :)
