Since moving to New York for his studies at The Juilliard School, SoCal native Joel Wenhardt has built one of the most unique careers in all of contemporary jazz. At 27 years old his résumé already includes recording with Paul Simon, headlining with Wynton Marsalis and the JLCO, collaborating annually with NYC Ballet and ABT at the Vail Dance Festival, and Music Directing for the NYC immersive production, Sleep No More.
Now ready to make his mark as a composer and bandleader, Joel is bringing his all-star Quintet and vocalist Georgia Heers to Steamers Jazz at JAX for an evening of tender romance, youthful exuberance, and classic swing.
